As more and more things are happening, I think it’s important to note that “fewer” has to do with numerable quantities and “less” has to do with amounts. I have fewer than five apples. Well, you’re less hungry. I understand Garner (whom I’ve cited before) and others advise using ‘less’ for time, I think number of weeks/days/hours just sounds better with ‘fewer.’ You should never use ‘over,’ ‘under,’ ‘above,’ and so on. Do you agree? Disagree?
