Ramapo College seems to have banned Four Loko (whatever that means?). The president of the school said, ”There’s no redeeming social purpose to be served by having the beverage,” which probably makes sense. But as the article goes on to say, and it’s really true, if you have two bucks and you need to get drunk, this is the beverage for you.

Not sure how I feel about this ban. It’s not as if students can’t get fall-down drunk off other beverages; but Four Loko is particularly potent and inexpensive. The better solution is probably to foster a culture where getting fall-down drunk is a less desirable social option than others.
